Time flies... and it's already the 2nd last challenge already - Get Viral with Cathay Decoded!!
So basically, it's somehow like an Amazing Race whereby we have to answer questions/solve crossword puzzles, get clues and hints to the next destination! There were a total of 6 stations for this Decoded Race and I am part of TEAM 9 (HUATTT AH!!) consisting of Tiffany Yong and Huixinand of course, myself!
The super talented Tiffany designed this banner!!

We came out with something creative and it's kinda funny too!

ps: I am not as bimbotic as like in the video okay and Tiffany is not a glutton either HAHAHA
Huixin and I during the briefing before the race started!
So during the briefing, we were told that we needed apps like Instagram (which of cuz we had), Instaplace and a QR code reader which almost all of us didn't have!! We quickly frantically downloaded everything that was required!
We were also given a survival kit bag which consisted of Popcorns, Coke, our Team 9 tag and also a QR code which was our very 1st clue to our 1st station! It was a very pixelated picture of a restaurant...
So let's get started!
[STATION 1 ]
Taking a picture via instaplace and then uploading it into instagram was part of the 1st step for all 6 stations!
Yay Huixin looks like she can't wait to start on our Challenge for Station 1! We were timed at every station so that means in order to win this race, we had to solve everything really quickly!!
IT'S A RACE AGAINST TIME!
Solving various questions such as finding out the Signature Dishes of The Cathay Restaurant, when was it closed and reopened again, the benefits of being a VIP etc!
Completed Station 1, got the next clue to Station 2!

[ STATION 2]
Took these 2 images from google! Totally forgot to snap pictures here because we were too engrossed in solving the crossword puzzle lol. Anyway, The Cathay Gallery features alot of vintage things (think old cinema seats, cameras..) and also old newspaper cuttings and articles! The gallery also screens old films! It's a really interesting place!
I never knew this gallery existed if not for the Cathay Decoded Race! :O

[ STATION 3 ]
We were given verbal clues for this station that it was 1)Mount E-something and 2)it's on a hill.
So we had to rely on Google to find out the exact place!! We found out that it was MOUNT EMILY and the walk from Cathay to there takes about 15mins?
Google map made us walk the long way up the hill :'( We only realised there's actually a shortcut after we finished this station!
Finally arrived at destination but all shagged out.
If you have already watched the video we've done (hope you enjoyed it!!), under the 10 types of people you meet, 'THE BIMBO' acted by me, you would have realised I said something like "Huh you mean I cannot take the lift, I have to climb up the stairs??".
That's because at this station, we had to go to the rooftop (Level 7) in search of answers AND WE WERE NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE THE LIFT. I was like omg.... @.@

This was the only station we completed under 10 minutes! *PATS ON BACK*
Moving on to station 4... we were again given a pixelated picture and we all immediately knew it was CINELEISURE. Cineleisure is like the 2nd home for all CNOS2 bloggers already!!

Us at the bus stop! We were allowed to only take the public transport to travel from one place to another! No cabs, no driving of own car. So we took the bus from YMCA straight to Cineleisure!
[ STATION 4 ]
For this station and also the subsequent last 2 stations, we had to go all around in search of 10 QR codes hidden around the place, scan it to reveal our question and fill in our answer!
TIME TO BRING OUT THOSE EYE POWER!
One of the 10 questions posed to us was "Which apparel shop has 2 levels in Cineleisure?"
Honestly, ALL 3 OF US DIDN'T KNOW THE ANSWER FOR THIS. BUT NOW WE DO!

[ STATION 6 ]
Our last clue directed us back to The Cathay for our very last station!!
This was the MOST challenging station of all in my opinion!
The 10 QR codes were placed over 1st level and Basement 1 compared to the previous 2 stations - QR codes were only on 1 level. This makes searching for these QR codes even more tiring! Besides, we were already all drained out!
At this station, we also found out that there's a cafe at B1 where you CAN DESIGN YOUR VERY OWN SUSHI!!
And....
YAY!!!

Refreshments were provided for the HUNGRY PARTICIPANTS! Nomz nomz~
Then it was RESULTS TIME!
Everyone praying hard that their team would be called out! (THE PRIZES WERE SO ATTRACTIVE!)
Look at the amount written on the cheques... WHOA. *jelly*
Sadly, none of the 9 blogger teams emerged as the top 3! :(
But nvm!! WE ALL HAD FUN AND GOT SO MUCH CLOSER RIGHTTTT? ^^
